Advanced Multimedia Signal Processing and Applications

Machine learning (including signal processing) has been widely studied in the big data age in academia and industry. In the past several years, multimedia signal processing with deep learning has made enormous progress in applications such as image classification, image captioning, image segmentation, object detection, pose estimation, human action recognition, document image processing, computer-aided diagnosis, etc. This session includes the mathematical theories of machine learning/deep learning in multimedia and computer vision applications.
